The reason I miss lifting the most

…it’s hard to keep the pounds off when your wife is such and awesome cook and likes to bake for you.

I mean, look at these cupcakes. They’re not just pretty, the chocolate frosting was made from scratch with real heavy cream. They were stunning!

  2. Dude, you’re doomed. I’d just double check to see what insurance she has on you before accepting the double-double chocolate chip cookies.

    Either that or mod a Dance-Dance Revolution pad into a keyboard and type your stories that way.

  3. Oooo, I feel for you. I love to cook, but since I was diagnosed with diabetes, most of the sweets I make get sent to the kids across the street

  4. My ex-wife’s husband is an Olympic weightlifter and while we were in Ontario visiting my wife and I paid close attention to what he ate. He ingested a good amount of protein and a fair amount of carbs (though no fat) during the weekdays, and one day per week he would eat pretty much anything he wanted. After dinner one night we watched in amazement as he downed an entire bag of Twizzlers.

    We’re on Atkins and are both lifting, so the protein helps. We no longer consume carbs, so our weight has been dropping steadily, though we do miss cupcakes. And ice cream. And tortilla chips. And pasta. And…
