Blews
March 20th 2008 at 6:03 am
Microsoft has a project going to sort incoming links to a news story based on political bent of the blog and by the emotional response of the linking blog text.
I’m quite intrigued, as I’m always trying tools that will blunt any attempt by myself to surround myself and read only people who think exactly like […]
MacBook Air

I want one.
Been liveblogging the event for BloggingStocks for the past 2 hours, nice to see it announced.
Now my big issue is, my cellphone contract is up. Do I plan to get an iPhone or a Blackberry Pearl?
Hmm…

I just installed the latest Mac OS, and I’m rather impressed. The backup software, Time Machine, has to be the easiest I’ve used. I have my spare hard drive set up to keep hourly time stamps versions of changes made to my hard drive that I can roll back like the history of wiki page.

I’ve accidentally converted another person.
My bad.
On the other hand, Holly has convinced me to buy a Dana Alphasmart at some point in the future.
Just, erm, not so soon after I just got this latest Macbook.
Nanobook

I would buy this today if it were on the shelves.
Via’s Nanobook has a 7″ screen, clamshell form factor and a full QWERTY keyboard. Weighing 850g (1.9 lb), the reference design offers a 1.2 GHz VIA C7 CPU, the VX-700 chipset, and up to 1GB of RAM. Connectivity comes with WiFi, BlueTooth, 2 USB ports, […]
Dictatorship is what online games are these days
April 17th 2007 at 10:38 am
Cory Doctorow posits that modern multiplayer online games are dictatorships and wonders what the first real democratic MMOPRG will be like.
I have this rough outline for a short story about a 60’s type virtual revolution and crackdown that would look at modern peace movements against real dictators and a self-involved western online movement against an […]
Mini Y2K?
March 5th 2007 at 5:32 pm
My latest tech column is up about the mini-y2k coming down the pipe due to the early daylight savings time change.
More of a Y2whimper than anything.
