Invisible Universe fundraiser, help support post production on a trove of black science fiction creator interviews

Invisible Universe is seeking funding via crowd funding to go into post-production with years of footage of interviews with black science fiction across a variety of media:

For the past ten years, producer/director, M. Asli Dukan has been producing this original and groundbreaking, independent documentary project. During this time, she has interviewed a “Who’s Who” list of Black Speculative Fiction writers, filmmakers and artists, including creators like Samuel R. Delany, Octavia E. Butler, Wesley Snipes, Nichelle Nichols, Steven Barnes, Tananarive Due, Nalo Hopkinson, Nnedi Okorafor, Rasheeda Phillips, Adrienne Maree Brown, John Jennings, Dawud Anyabwile and Dwayne McDuffie. She has also traveled the country, documenting key conferences, conventions, panels, performances and other events of Black Speculative Fiction, like The Shadows Took Shape exhibition at The Studio Museum in Harlem in New York City, The East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention and The Afrofuturist Affair in Philadelphia, The Alien Encounter Conference at the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture in Atlanta, The CD Forum’s Black to the Future: A Black SF Festival in Seattle, and the Comic-Con International in San Diego, and much more.
