Journal Entry
Another weekend passes by

Thalia wants to know, how was your weekend?
On Saturday I hung out with Em and the kids, and then on Sunday went out and saw the Columbus Crew play the New England Revolution (we lost, 1-0). Someone gave us free tickets at the gate, which was pretty cool, and I blew the money I saved thanks to that on overpriced watery beer, which meant I had a great time, thank you very much.
Right now I’m working away at the inbox after a few pages of fiction written this morning, then I have an interview to finish answering.
I did however update my ‘appearances’ list (look to the lower left a bit) to indicate I will be at the local convention Penguicon in April and accepted a speaking gig for A Rally of Writers. April is now officially booked.
And speaking of Thalia, I was a good father and remembered not to agree to anything that fell *right* on the twin’s birthday (just one the day before). I’m feeling organized this week!

Also complicating that is fact that Thalia needs to be home tommorow since she has a cold: cough, runny nose, mild fever. 9 hrs ago
I fell asleep at 7:30pm and woke up at 12:30 due to coughing kid. Awake now. Will be interesting to see when I get tired. 9 hrs ago
Of course, I'm risking cliche. But these are the travails of being an entertainer: in realism vs keep story moving, moving wins 9 hrs ago
Mmm. The extended rise to leader of army plot sequence in this novella will be cut in favor of Duel To Death! Other way is long/boring. :) 9 hrs ago
Thalia's home today sick. Poor kid. Poor Toby's deadline LOL. 20 hrs ago

Good thing you’re not going to be the parent that remembers to call on the birthday because you’re out of town. Or call someday around it because you were busy and missed what day it was.

This weekend looks to be interesting. In a little while I’ll go and get a Rug Doctor in an attempt to take care of a stinky carpet.
