The Sword-Edged Blonde

Sword-Edged-Blonde-paperback.jpg

Alex Bledsoe’s book The Sword-Edged Blonde is now out in paperback from Tor. It was one of my favorite fantasy reads back in 2008, mixing hard boiled detective fiction narrative voice with classic Fantasy tropes. From a review I wrote praising it:

If Conan the Barbarian had to hire someone to shadow his wife to see if she was cheating on him with Kull of Atlantis, Eddie’d be the man he would find in an office above a tavern to hire.

So how does this compare with Glen Cook’s own efforts in this vein?

Sounds like a good one. I added it to my Amazon list.

Ugh, I know it doesn’t do any good to complain here, but its not available electronically! This looks like Just My Thing. How ever am I to read it, if not on my iPhone?

Woohoo! Finally getting Sly Mongoose, damn Australian book importers.
