[iPhone shots] Shaking hands with the Master Chief
September 10th 2008 at 7:01 am
At Dragon Con I walked by a pair of guys rocking out in Halo gear, so I stopped and had my picture taken (my thanks to Cherie Priest’s husband for rolling with the moment and grabbing my iPhone to snap the shot). The Master Chief costume was pretty rocking.

It’s the small things in life…

rockin’ costumes, but what’s with the sports coat? I don’t know that character.
4. Adam Grumbo on Sep 10th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Wasn’t expecting to meet you there at all. What a pleasant surprise!! Very much looking forward to your book. Totally excited!

Very nice..
I’ll bet you made their day too, those are some hardcore fans over at 405th.com. The one on stageleft is Adam Grumbo (the founder of the 405th), and the guy on the right is known as “Spase”, who’s essentially Adam’s 2nd.
I’m a moderator over there, so I’ll point it out to them.
I’m glad it hit H.B.O. so we could all see it.

Jim: thanks for the linkage!
Adam: it was good to meet you as well. I”m sorry I couldn’t chat more, but I was really on my way to dinner with my editor and didn’t want to lose him b/c I didn’t know where the restaurant was!
deadguy: it was a great chance encounter.
Devin: it was great to meet you. Impressive armor!

Actually the guy on the right is Devin from Bluerealm and adam is on the left in the marine gear.

devin on left i meant to say. haha
12. Walter (Spase) on Sep 10th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
I (Spase) am friends with Devin, but we are not one and the same. Wish I could take credit for that suit, but I can’t… I was in a suit at the CON as well which could account for the confusion.
Wish I had walked back with them at that point, it would have been great to meet you.
Great work on the Novels… looking forward to your future work.

Heh, that’s awesome.
I could think of some pretty cool fanservice pictures involving Halo authors and high-quality Haloverse cosplayers.
