Journal Entry

Thank you, oh great falling dollar

March 25th 2008 at 5:17 pm

My German foreign translation rights check arrived for Sly Mongoose and thanks to the euro’s rise against the US dollar, it will cover most of my tax bill for the year.

Oh yeah, I need to get my taxes done.

Also in the mail, a carton of Sly Mongoose bound galleys (or Advance Review Copies, whichever you prefer to call them). Sadly, not full color like the previous ones.

Tomorrow I’ll have to double check with Dot Lin, my publicist, to see who she’s sending copies to and when and who I need to pass copies onto personally.

With a 4-5 month lead time, hopefully this time I can properly get everything out to everyone who needs them in time for everyone to be able to post about Sly on it’s launch. Ragamuffin suffered from poor coordination on my part.

I need an office assistant. *sigh*

Hey don’t knock it. With things going as they are, I’ve insisted on being paid in Krugerrands and canned goods.
