Journal Entry
Easter Weekend
How did your Easter weekend go?
Mine was nice, on Saturday I slept in, and then Emily and I caught a late night filming of the movie Blades of Glory with Josh and Amber Smith, only negative being the fact that people are freaking sheep. Everyone clustered around the same spot of the mostly empty theater. WTF?
Sunday we drove up early to spend time with family and friends. My brother in law grills a mean leg of lamb, and my other brother in law got me a Edmund Fitzgerald, the Great Lakes Brewing Co. porter beer, which was super thoughtful of him and made my evening. The Fitzgerald is still slightly a bit hopsy for me (but less bitter than any given ale), but their Wood-tooth porter which is micro-brewed on the spot is much smoother, less bitter hops, and my favorite porter yet to this day.

Had to shovel 2 feet of snow of the driveway, and then I was able to drive 2 hours to Mom’s place. Oh what fun…
GL Brews are pretty good, but I’ve never really liked the Fitzgerald.

Well, my little homeboy got over being sick just in time to truck over to the other side of the state and see my folks and a couple brothers. A nice time seemed to have been had by all, especially since we haven’t seen any of them since Christmas or earlier.
And happily, Tony has managed to stay healthy despite the trucking back and forth and the cold weather and whatnot.

Yeah, the snow was teh suck.
Dave, I don’t understand how people avoid being sick with this up and down weather. I just want to crawl back into bed.
