I spent a few hours working on a novel proposal at the local coffee shop today, watching the world drive by the window and the temperature drop 4 degrees as I sat there typing away. The dark and dreariness of winter approaches, and I’m already feeling the hit.

New SF-related podcast: Adventures in SciFi Publishing

Adventures in SciFi Publishing just launched, run by Shaun Farrell it is a podcast that will “Explore developments within the publishing world and meet writers of science fiction and fantasy. Featuring industry experts, bestselling authors, and new writers alike.”
The first issue has interviews with Paul Levinson and *Ray Bradbury*.

Yeah, I kinda disappeared there. Partly it was just that I wanted to focus on some other work, partly I was just really burned out by a very long, solid crazy period and was just recuperating.

New Mousetime

My current rollerball mouse is double-clicking everytime I click anywhere.
This is frustrating and making for a negative computing environment.
Guess I’ll be nipping out on a quick shopping trip tomorrow for a new mouse.

Kitty LSD?

One of our cats had to go in to the vet for a slightly painful procedure. Our vet told us they gave him ‘kitty LSD’ to knock him out, and to keep him in a carrier or something for the next few hours or ‘at least until he can walk a straight line.’
