September 30th 2006 at 4:16 pm
One Brit’s already traded in his frequent flyer miles for a trip aboard Virgin’s SpaceShip Two. Neat.
Attack of the PETA/PCRM/grilled chicken crowd
September 30th 2006 at 11:59 am
Yesterday I was busy at one of my jobs, bloggingstocks.com, hence my missing posting here, and I happened to write up a story about the PCRM (an animal rights activist group that is actually more of a everyone-must-become-vegetarians group) suing fast food companies for having carcinogenic grilled chicken.
The PCRM groups did not compare carcinogen rates […]
How many languages have I been translated into?
September 28th 2006 at 4:53 pm
I invited blog readers to post questions that I would do my best to answer in this post. Mary Robinette Kowal asks the first question:
How many languages has your work been translated into?
I need to recreate my bibliography page in my next site redesign, don’t I? But I’m aware of being translated into Spanish (El […]

I’m lining up some post subjects based on emails and some comments that asked questions a few weeks ago, but I thought I’d also ask if there was anything you guys wanted me to cover on the blog over the next couple weeks. These could be about writing, reading, favorites, whatever. I can’t guarantee I’ll […]
Apex Digest update
September 27th 2006 at 10:43 am
Apex Digest has raised enough subscriptions to cover the temporary shortfall, pay off the debt it started with, and actually now will be doing some great things with the overflow for its artists and writers.
It’s always nice to see a community come together like that. Very ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ kinda fuzzy and warm.
Catching up!
September 26th 2006 at 3:59 pm
One of the reasons I wrote the movie review below was that I got hit with a mild bout of either food poisoning or a fast acting flu, because after getting chores done and things caught up on yesterday I got knocked the f&*k out by something. I spend the evening under blankets, shivering, watching […]
Movie: The Proposition
September 26th 2006 at 2:36 pm
As a kid I really dug reading westerns, which I got sucked into while growing my taste for SF/F. My genre preferences run in this rough order: SF, spy/suspense, western, general action, Fantasy. I no longer have the time read many westerns, and the genre is harder to just bump into off the shelf, but […]

The guys at Fantasy Book Spot have created a new comic about the field, books, reviewing, and other stuff that you can see the first panel of here.
