Analog Review

June 28th 2006 at 11:07 pm

There’s a nice Tom Easton review in the latest Analog for Crystal Rain, which is too long for me to type up, but includes the wonderfully pull-worthy sentence: “Buckell has displayed a gift for imagination much greater than one book can hold” and that it “is the sort of thing that will have readers watching for more.”

Nifty.

Wow, that would make a great backcover quote for Raggamuffin. Of course, I’m sure you (and your editor) have already locked down persmission to use. :)

    Tobias,

Is “Ragamuffin” the title of your next book? Do you have an idea of its publication date?

I just finished “Crystal Rain” last week and am looking forward to further adventures of the folks of Naganda. Frankly, I’m also interested in the backstory of the “Crystal Rain” universe: what happened to lead to the Pacification of Earth? How did the Aztec form their community? Were they Mexican immigrants who decided to emigrate to form a culture based on Old Earth culture? What about the earlier adventures of John and a certain dangerous nano-enhanced cuthroat?
