The Meeting Place

April 29th 2006 at 7:27 pm

Hung out at the Lima, Ohio coffee shop ‘The Meeting Place’ to sign books and promote Crystal Rain today from 1-4. It was a great, sunny day, so we didn’t have much traffic, but a handful of books were sold, and The Meeting Place does sell books out of a set of shelves in the […]

Coupons for Charity

April 29th 2006 at 7:09 pm

One of the local super markets has these coupons for $1, $3 and $5 right at the checkout that you can add to your grocery bill that sends the money to charity. You’re not asked to do it, you can just rip off these little barcode labels and hand it to the cashier.
I think this […]

My right hand is getting cramps from using a mouse.
Damn mouse.
My trackback at work died, I have a trackball at home.
My last day of work will be May 12th.
Why buy a new trackball for 2 more weeks of work?
Grrr.
I think I’ll be packing the trackback mouse and taking it back and forth with the laptop.

Jay Tomio Reviews Crystal Rain

April 25th 2006 at 5:21 pm

Wow, Jay Tomio has a review of Crystal Rain up that is an incredible read (I kept asking, is that my book?):
So what is Crystal Rain?
An accumulation of adventurous tropes, familiar to Dirk’s and Indiana’s alike, in a fantasy setting reminiscent of Barsoon, that hints at being a familiar but misplaced world, spiced with a […]

Teresa Nielsen Hayden makes an awesome point in an entry Patrick posted on Making Light:
The Pulitzer Prize for Fiction this year went to March, a novel by Geraldine Brooks, published by Viking. It’s a re-imagining of the life of the father of the four March girls in Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. Can you see […]

Interactive Author

Why not?
I got the idea from another author, mind you.
The problem is I am not a pen geek. Or […]
