Time To Get Moving A Bit

June 30th 2004 at 4:11 pm

I see that Prime Books has added me in their author section. I haven’t heard from Sean in a bit, but I’m still trying to gather blurbs and an introduction for the collection yet before he gets that final package.
Time to see if I can move any further along on all that…

Tiger Tiger

Apple’s next upgrade to OS-X is now being previewed on their website. Nothing earth shattering. There is a systemwide search feature similar to what MS says will be in Longhorn in 2006. Ichat AV allows conference chats, and the new tweaks to Safari, the web browsing app, are really neat. The ‘dashboard’ feature looks interesting, […]

Dustcover, Gas,

June 28th 2004 at 1:55 pm

Over at John Scalzi’s weblog John has posted a picture of his dustcover.
Seeing another author going through those stages has been exciting. I wonder what I’ll have to blog or post when that time comes around?
Who knows.
In the meantime, I’m here at home still settling in. Dial up, as I’ve said before, sucks. I spent […]

When Bad Advice Attacks

June 25th 2004 at 5:03 pm

This Teresa Nielsen Hayden post calls Todd Pierce’s bad advice (lie on your cover letters) on writing what it is, bad advice. Much discussion ensues in comments, including some googling by commenters, and finally, Todd himself arrives and yelling ensues back and forth. He, oddly enough, skips around the question of why he advocates this […]

June 24th 2004 at 3:44 pm

Over at Popmatters there is a review of So Long Been Dreaming:

Happy Anniversary Us

June 22nd 2004 at 12:45 pm

Been a year since we got married. A great year.
So no well thought out entry. No links. We’ve done yard work, we’re headed out for lunch and a movie and cards that we picked out for each other standing side by side at Wal-Mart last night while buying yard stuff.
We’re happy…

A Dog Called Ginger

June 21st 2004 at 5:52 pm

So we did get a dog, a collie we’re calling Ginger. Very nice even tempered dog, comes with a few built in commands (sit, stay, lay down, fetch, come here). It’s a rescue dog from a collie rescue, and she was found in Kentucky wandering around, and was on TV in Columbus this weekend to […]
