Workshopping It

I’m here on Kelly’s Island with many other writers critiquing novels, and unlike last year, this year I’m hale and healthy. Em and I signed on the house, and so we’re now legally house owners (although right now we’re landlords, as we won’t be moving in for a month yet).

So far Paul Melko has gotten me to go running in the morning, and my haven’t-run-in-3-months ass managed about 3/4 a mile or so before slowing down to a walk and then turning around. We crossed the airport, but then later found out that there was a $500 fine for doing so.

Thanks goodness no one noticed!

Tomorrow the first 50 pages of the new novel I’m working, ‘Ragamuffin,’ gets critiqued. I’m curious to hear the feedback.
