Russell Crowe?

I spend my afternoon giving a briefing on Caribbean Culture in Columbus which was an interesting experience, but the part I won’t forget is, for the third time in the last year, I had something funny happen. As I walk in the door the facilitator looked at me and said that I reminded her of an actor, and she couldn’t remember who. She said ‘Russell, Kurt Russell, no, that’s not it…’

I was about to say, ‘well I’ve been compared twice this year, oddly enough, to Russell Crowe’ but she blurts out ‘the guy from A Beautiful Mind.’

At which point there comes a general consensus that, without my glasses on, I look like Russell Crowe.

Third time this year. It’s flattering, and there are worse actors to be compared to. I guess I should ditch the glasses sometime in my future, right?
