DenverPost.com - BOOKS
A variety of promising new authors are collected in “New Voices in Science Fiction,’ edited by Mike Resnick (DAW, 351 pages, $6.99). The broad scope of these 20 original stories range from Jewish vampires to a post-human wedding farce.
Some of the authors, such as Kage Baker, Julie Czerneda and Susan Matthews, already have […]

2003 in review

December 31st 2003 at 1:03 am

The year in review. Why not? I do it every year. 2003 has been an interesting year. I got many things accomplished, and I dropped the ball on other things.
In my non-writing activities I got married (woo hoo), got promoted at my day job, moved my day job to a 10 month contract, and moved […]

I won’t even talk about it, but the more I do business and get older, the more I’m convinced that banks are evil.
For example, a month ago, I was informed that I was not allowed to transfer money from an account with a positive balance, to an account with a negative or zero balance.
No one […]

Insanity + Authors

December 24th 2003 at 9:20 am

Over atMaking Light Teresa Nielsen Hayden has posted an entry called ‘Varieties of insanity known to affect authors.’
If I could just get people to read my manuscript, I know they’d love it.
You must not love my book if you want me to make all these changes.
My first novel took a long time to write, but […]
