Finished yesterday at the 55K

Finished yesterday at the 55K poing of rewriting, after cutting out to go and have dinner at the nearest ‘city’ with Emily (Finlay, OH,). Cracker Barrell was good food, except that Em’s fried chicken breast came in, and when cut it in half we found that the middle of one of the two was raw. Like really raw. So we sent that back, feeling bad to make a fuss, and a new order came out. Again, one piece perfectly okay, the other piece raw inside.

Ich.

So they gave us that for free, since at that point we ust wanted to cut back out and go home.

Weird.

So I am here at the keyboard again, plugging forward and hoping for another 15-20K today of rewriting, although I’m back into some bumpy parts that require more original content.

Like all writers, I’m going schizo over being really confident in slotting in the new parts, adding original, deleting stuff, and in general, creating a frankenstein out of the book, and then suddenly wondering if I’m addressing the stuff the agent wanted addressed, or if he’s going to take a look at the final project and ask me to do it again.

Usually I swing through that kind of stuff over a duration of days, but right now I’m doing it in the matter of hours, unusually enough, and have to really ignore it to get my work done.

We shall see soon enough if I got it right thought…
