Well, the super-awesome-great news of

Well, the super-awesome-great news of the day is that I have two nominations to report. One is that I’ve been nominated for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer. The second is that Dave Truesdale and I have been nominated for the Best Website Special Award Hugo.

Needless to say I’m extremely excited. I’m excited about the Campbell nomination because it means that the people who have read and met me believe in me and my work enough to nominate me. It means a lot. It also means that I am even more convinced that this is the thing I want to do, be a writer in this community, and now you’re _so_ stuck with me
Seriously.

I’m excited about the Website nomination because I’ve put in a lot of work on Tangent, and it is nice to see that it is being recognized in the most positive form of feedback that I can imagine. The community support for that project has been great.

I’m a very happy writer right now.
