So I have the amount
March 26th 2002 at 6:58 pm
So I have the amount of RAM that makes me happy. The techs got it right. I now need my wireless PC card (Lucent Orinoco Silver, $74), but that has to wait until this weekend when I get my paycheck. That about catches me up (well, an SVGA-RCA adaptor so I can watch DVDs on my TV). And I’m very happy with this laptop.
Added a few words to my novel over the weekend, though not as many as I was adding right before, as I went to Millenicon in Cincinnati for a few panels (but if you checked out my appearances section, you would be all over this, right? Right? Okay, never mind). It was fun to hang out with fellow Writeshoppers (the Columbus workshop), and Maureen McHugh from the Cleveland workshop (which I have, alas, been missing a lot of). Mike Resnick was there, but I only saw him briefly. Met a few new people (Tony Ruggerio, pardon if I spelled that wrong).
Emily went with me. Apparently she hit a Klingon with a door by accident. He kept reminding her of it, which made me wonder, how tough exactly was this Klingon? ‘Ow, you hit me, remember that?’
At the dealers room we picked up Discworld Book #3. We’re both slowly making our way through Terry Pratchett. Good stuff. I’d set up a recommended books and movies area, but that sounds like extra work right now, and I have so much on my table (so much that I’m not doing.)
Hey, look to the right of this webpage. If the counter is over 15,000, you MAY BE A WINNER, which is not to say that everyone else is a loser, you’re just not going to win ![]()
Take care.
