Ach, they screwed up. They sent me 256megs PC133 Ram, when my powerbook uses PC100 ram. I can see how, they looked down and saw Powerbook 400mhz and grabbed the ram for that, which is the same way I ended up getting this Lombard instead of the Pismo, but what the hell.

Anyway, I can use/see 192 megs ram, so I’m getting an extra 64 megs ram until Monday. At first these people wanted me to send back the ram (2-3 days) and they would try to determine what was ‘wrong with it.’ I knew what was wrong, they sent me a bad chip, and I wasn’t going to have them test this chip, find it okay, and send it back to me. So I stayed on the phone and was an absolute bastard for 25 minutes to get it across to them that I needed _PC100_ not 133. They kept asking for the megahertz of my powerbook, and I had a real hard time getting them to understand that there are -2- 400mhz powerbook model types that use 2 different types of ram.

*sigh*

They are sending me something by Monday morning. Whether it is the right ram I don’t know. I can only hope.

I should have paid the extra $20 I thought I would save and gone with an Apple only dealer that demonstrated on their webpage the differences I had to explain above.

Drives me nuts.

Okay, so I got a 64 meg boost (192 total). I want the full 320! I have power computing to do
I need to go do some actual work.
