Slight correction: ‘Tides’ is on
February 27th 2002 at 5:14 pm
Slight correction: ‘Tides’ is on the _shortlist_ for this unnamed project. My bad. I misread the email. My exuberance over not losing this fave story caused me to slip there. I usually try not to announce a peep in my journal unless I have a contract in hand, or a definite, definite, yes. Sorry. I’ll keep people updated.
After all the questions I’ve asked these guys, they must be shaking their heads thinking ‘what in the world is this guy smoking.’ I’ll blame it on the cold weather snap we’re having, my sinuses are shot and I can’t think straight ![]()
And to wave my hand to focus attention elsewhere, I’m doing very well over at Fictionwise. Yay. My story Fish Merchant hit ‘bestseller’ and is the #19 piece of fiction in all categories there right now, and is #13 in the SF section. Hopefully that will bring some attention to the next couple pieces that get posted there.
Other than that, I’m still plugging away at the novel Crystal Rain. Last night was cold and slippery on the way home, and I warmed up and had a great snack: waffles loaded with honey. I also drank some honey. Great quick pick-me-up.
Hey, it works for bees.
