It’s been a long while
September 26th 2001 at 12:08 am
It’s been a long while since I’ve updated. Yes, like many, haven’t gotten much writing done. There were some other bumps in my time. Work responsibilities have ratcheted up quite nicely as the college finds more things for me to do. Not a bad thing, but it’s happening.
For those who follow, I lost my story “Penzannce Grrl” to my computer’s hard drive a second time and I’m not even sure how. And I work in technology
That story must be cursed. Time to give it up and move on. Still, I spent the weekend rearranging my computer’s files so that this sort of thing doesn’t happen again. Madness.
Also just keeping up with all the various stuff that needs kept up with. I get cable internet on the 27th, that should help things out a bit…
The new story, Duppy Conqueror, continues after being restarted. 2000 words into it. 3.5K expected total.
In the most depressing realization: as I was making changes to my database I saw how many new stories I’ve completed for the year. Significant drop, lots of half finished things. Need to figure what the hell I’m smoking and get my shit in gear. Yeah I moped and whined in 2000, but I moped my way through a lot of fiction. This year I moped and whined, and got squat.
I’m exercising again. Running out to the edge of town and back (1.2 miles), doing pushups and situps.
The chill of winter is in the air.
Gotta run.
